MOXI is Sciton®'s non-ablative fractional laser. It creates thousands of microscopic treatment zones that trigger the skin's natural healing response, encouraging fresh collagen and the regeneration of healthy new cells.
The result is smoother texture, brighter skin, refined pores and a more even complexion, while preserving your everyday routine. Following treatment, tiny microscopic particles known as MENDS gently shed over several days, revealing a fresher complexion beneath.
Published, GST-inclusive, no surprises.
Suitable for almost every skin type and tone. Laser consultations are 30 minutes.
MOXI may be considered for clients concerned about uneven tone, rough texture, visible pores and early signs of sun exposure who prefer a non-ablative fractional treatment.
Suitability depends on skin tone, pigmentation type, recent sun exposure, medication, sensitivity, healing history and desired downtime. Melasma and skin prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation require a cautious, individual approach.
Treatment is postponed on actively infected, irritated, sunburnt or recently tanned skin.
MOXI and BBL are different technologies:
Some clients may benefit from one. Others may be offered a staged or combined plan. Combination treatment should not be presented as automatically superior; the choice depends on what is being treated and what the skin can safely tolerate.
Your clinician may recommend skin preparation and ask you to pause selected active products. Avoid tanning and disclose medication and recent treatment.
Redness, warmth, swelling, dryness and a rough or bronzed texture can occur as microscopic debris comes to the surface. Less common risks include infection, prolonged redness, pigment change, burns or scarring.
Do not pick or exfoliate the skin prematurely. Use the recommended gentle products and broad-spectrum SPF, and avoid heat and sun exposure for the period advised.
Two technologies, two layers of skin, one appointment. BBL clears pigmentation, redness and sun damage at the surface while stimulating healthy cellular activity; MOXI works fractionally beneath it, refining texture and building collagen. Together they address tone, texture, pigmentation and early ageing in a single treatment — most clients see only mild redness, then a few days of a fine, sandpaper-like feel as fresh skin comes through.
Skin assessment and honest advice on whether MOXI alone or the BBL combination suits your goals.
Skin is cleansed; topical numbing can be applied for comfort ($15 face application).
The fractional handpiece passes over the area, usually 30 to 45 minutes for a full face.
MENDS shed over several days. Gentle skincare and SPF protect the fresh skin beneath.
Mild redness on the day, then a fine sandpaper-like texture for 3 to 5 days as MENDS shed. Makeup can usually be worn from the following day.
Yes. MOXI is designed as the ideal introduction to laser rejuvenation, and works as ongoing maintenance too.
Skin looks brighter within about a week, with texture and tone continuing to improve over the following weeks as collagen rebuilds.
They treat different layers. Pigment and redness lean BBL, texture and pores lean MOXI. Many plans combine both; your clinician will advise.
Fresh skin after MOXI needs daily SPF and gentle, barrier-kind support.
A 30-minute consultation with a senior clinician — honest advice and a written plan. $60, fully redeemable against treatment booked within two weeks.
