Medical LED delivers specific wavelengths of light that energise cellular activity: calming redness, supporting collagen production and speeding recovery after clinical treatments.
It's the quiet workhorse of a skin program: no downtime, deeply relaxing, and it makes everything else on your plan work harder.
Published, GST-inclusive, no surprises.
LED is also woven through many Neo facials and recovery protocols.
LED, or light-emitting diode therapy, exposes the skin to selected wavelengths of low-level light. This process is commonly described as photobiomodulation. Different wavelengths interact with tissue in different ways, so the protocol should be selected for the concern rather than treating every client with the same setting.
LED does not remove surface skin and does not rely on heat in the same way as laser or intense pulsed light. It is often used as a standalone supportive treatment or around other procedures where the goal is to support recovery and skin comfort.
The role of LED should remain realistic. It may complement a treatment plan, but it does not replace medical treatment for acne, rosacea, infection or another diagnosed skin condition.
LED may be considered for clients seeking a gentle, non-invasive treatment with no expected recovery period. It can be used within suitable plans for visible redness, active breakouts, post-procedure recovery and general skin maintenance.
Suitability still requires review. Tell your clinician about:
Protective eyewear and the correct device protocol should be used as directed.
An occasional session may support recovery or provide a relaxing skin appointment. Concerns such as visible inflammation are more commonly approached with a series because response develops with consistency.
Your clinician will explain the proposed frequency, when progress will be reviewed and what other parts of the plan are doing the primary work. If there is no meaningful response, the plan should be reconsidered rather than continued indefinitely.
A quick review confirms the right wavelengths for your skin today.
You rest under the light canopy, usually 15 to 30 minutes.
Benefits compound with regular sessions, weekly programs work beautifully.
None. LED is the treatment you book on a lunch break.
Yes, photobiomodulation is well studied: specific wavelengths measurably influence inflammation and cellular energy. Consistency is the key.
Weekly or twice-weekly during a program, then as maintenance or recovery support.
LED is one of the gentlest treatments in the clinic and a favourite for reactive skin.
LED pairs with calm, anti-inflammatory home care.
