An initial skin consultation is required for every new client seeking skin treatments at neoSKiN. It allows our team to professionally assess your skin, discuss your individual concerns and goals, and recommend an appropriate treatment plan and home-care routine.
The $60 consultation fee is payable at the time of booking and is 100% redeemable towards a skin treatment booked within two weeks of the consultation.
Laser hair removal consultations are complimentary. Existing clients can book a complimentary 15-minute Skin Review — a follow-up to assess how your skin has responded to treatment and discuss your ongoing treatment plan.

The concern you have noticed and how it has changed
Previous professional treatment
Your current skin-care routine
Relevant health history and medication
Pregnancy or breastfeeding where applicable
Recent sun exposure or tanning
Your preferred pace, budget and available downtime
Please provide complete, accurate information. It helps us determine whether treatment is appropriate and whether preparation, patch testing or referral is needed.
The assessment may consider skin tone, hydration, sensitivity, barrier health, congestion, redness, pigmentation, texture and firmness. Where available and appropriate, imaging may support the discussion, but it does not replace clinical judgement or medical diagnosis.
Any lesion or symptom that appears to need medical assessment will not be treated cosmetically. We may recommend that you see a GP, dermatologist or another appropriately qualified practitioner.
Your recommendation may include:
A staged in-clinic treatment plan
A single appropriate treatment
Professional home care
Preparation before advanced treatment
A patch test
Maintenance and review timing
Referral or a decision not to treat
We explain what each recommendation is intended to address, the expected course, likely downtime, important risks and the total price. There is no obligation to proceed on the day.
Bring a list or photographs of the products you use, details of relevant medication and any questions you would like answered. If possible, avoid arriving immediately after heavy makeup application or deliberate tanning.
Do not stop prescribed medication unless advised by the prescriber.
Do I need to know which treatment I want?
No. It is often more useful to describe the concern and your priorities. We can then explain the treatments that may be relevant.
Will I be treated on the same day?
It depends on the service, available time and whether preparation or patch testing is required. Some treatments should not proceed on the day of first assessment.
What if treatment is not suitable?
We will say so. The recommendation may be a different service, a period of home care, medical review or no treatment.
Can you diagnose a medical skin condition?
Skin and laser clinicians do not replace a GP or dermatologist. We assess cosmetic concerns within our scope and refer when diagnosis or medical treatment may be required.
